4 of The Best Wedding Venues in Hampshire and Surrey
Yippee you’re engaged! So now it’s time to find a venue for the big day. But with so many stunning venues out there it can be hard to know where to start. So to help, I’ve rustled up a simple guide to 4 of the best wedding venues in Hampshire and Surrey.
Personally, I love all of these venues! Each one standing out for its unique beauty, quirks, and friendly teams that are determined to make every couple’s day a dream come true!
Farnham Castle – Surrey

Nestled on a hill between the Hampshire/Surrey border, Farnham Castle is a breathtaking, multi-award-winning venue with five acres of idyllic gardens and historical buildings.
Classically elegant and full of romantic charm, this unique venue is perfect for any wedding day. With four licensed rooms, two chapels, stunning grounds, and an array of reception options, it is a truly magical location that can fulfil the dreams of any wedding style.
Farnham Castle offers a luxurious honeymoon suit as well as 33 elegant bedrooms, making it the ideal venue for overnight guest.
From intimate to extravagant, inside or outside, Farnham Castle is a venue with so many possibilities. It’s also one I feel incredibly proud to be a recommended supplier of. For me, I love the Lantern Hall for its delicate and light atmosphere, making it ideal for classically traditional ceremonies.
“Marriage Celebrations are stunning at any time of year at Farnham Castle; whether you choose our Lantern Hall, Library, Winchester Suite, our Great Hall for larger ceremonies, or one of our beautiful lawns during the warmer months. Your guests will adore Verity’s enthusiastic yet calm and professional approach, and we look forward to welcoming Verity and our wedding parties to our historic venue across 2023 and beyond.” Says Francesca Cribb, Head of Marketing at Farnham Castle.
Overall, Farnham Castle is a truly unique venue. With great versatility and an incredibly passionate team who will go above and beyond to make your day one to remember.
Hawbridge Farm – Hampshire

Hawbridge Farm is a family-run, picturesque, rural venue, tucked away in the heart of the Hampshire countryside.
The Rye Grass meadow, with its 17 acres of greenery and panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, provides the perfect setting for those who dream of an outdoor wedding.
With enough space for marquees, tepees, bands, dance floors, games, and stalls, the possibilities are well and truly endless! Hawbridge also allows couples to hire the space for several days. This gives you plenty of time to set up and even camp in the field for a little post wedding mini moon!
Personally, I love the little wildflower meadow which sweetly blooms in the summertime and makes for a magical spot to hold your ceremony.
There is just something very wholesome about Hawbridge and as a recommended supplier, I can’t sing highly enough of how wonderful the team are how much they really care.
So whether you desire a flashy festival theme, something beautifully rustic, or a traditional country garden wedding, Hawbridge Farm provides the perfect blank canvas for you to design your perfect day.
Gate Street Barn – Surrey

Secluded and intimate, Gate Street is snuggled between beautiful fields and rolling hills, making it an idyllic venue for weddings in all seasons.
Its rustic barn is an utterly breathtaking ceremony space, with gorgeous chandeliers and characterful beams. I personally loved the barn’s generous aisle that stretches the length of the room, allowing a bride to fully embrace every precious second of her once in a lifetime walk down it.
The Barn can then be transformed into a beautiful banqueting hall for your wedding breakfast, whilst The Pheasantry provides the perfect snug for your reception drinks and post-ceremony canapes.
For outside ceremonies, Gate Street offers the manicured Farmhouse Avenue, a traditionally beautiful ceremony space tucked within the landscaped gardens. Alternatively, Gate Street’s hidden treasure is its secret Enchanting Woodland. Hiding amongst the bluebell paths it provides a magical atmosphere for those who desire something on the whimsical side.
A truly exquisite venue, with so much to offer. Gate Street Barn is a must for couples who want a wedding that feels elegantly rustic and embraces the seasons.

With never-ending views across the countryside, Silchester Farm is a family-run venue with nature at its heart. Its small team takes pride in the little things and goes above and beyond to give guests a feeling of being somewhere beyond the wider world.
The 400-year-old Hampshire Threshing Barn provides a magnificent inside ceremony space. Adorned with a cascade of twinkling fairy lights, oak beams, and a dramatic aisle, it is a truly magical place to say “I do”
Silchester also boasts a stunning outside area. With its lakeside backdrop and elegant ceremony gazebo on the jetty, it provides a romantic setting for those who dream of an alfresco affair.
Both the indoor and outdoor ceremony spaces can also seat up to 140 guests, making Silchester Farm the ideal venue for those with larger wedding parties!
As well as its ceremony spaces, Silchester is surrounded by breathtaking rural scenery that makes for some of the most incredible photographs. It also has a dramatic, yet quirkily modern Cow Shed for dining and dancing. With reclaimed wooden tables, an industrial-style chandelier, and huge glass windows that frame the summer’s sunset whilst you dance into the night.
It is certain that Silchester is a venue with style and has the passion of a team who really cares to match.
